This week is National Correctional Officer's Week and a time to officially recognize Corrections Officers for their bravery, service and sacrifice.  Corrections Officers face incredibly challenging and dangerous working conditions every single day. Corrections Officers work long hours away from home due to  chronic short staffing and pandemics, which make their jobs even more difficult, but they do it to keep our communities and our families safe. The NCEU commits to always fight for Corrections Officers to make sure these essential law enforcement professionals have a voice on the job in order to obtain the best pay, benefits and work conditions they deserve. 

The Thin Silver Line represents the men and women who protect our country through their work as corrections officers. An often thankless job, the correction officers of our nation work hard every day for the protection of our communities and the rehabilitation of the incarcerated.

Let's always keep these courageous men and women in our daily prayers to be safe and always make it home at the end of each shift. On behalf of the NCEU, thank you Corrections Officers!!
