Governor Deval Patrick has submitted his budget recommendations for FY 2011. This budget cuts the Sheriff’s Department’s budget by just over 1.5%. Each year the Governor submits a budget that is generally on the low side and the Legislature makes adjustments to the Governor’s numbers. We are hopeful that this will happen again this year and at a minimum the Sheriff’s will be level funded. Please find below the FY2010 vs. FY2011 budget figures:
